Dr. Laura Boyer is a Nebraska native. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri for her undergraduate degree in biology and English Literature and received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. Dr. Boyer is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Boyer likes the variety of work that greets her—delivering babies, seeing patients in the clinic, and performing procedures. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery, and treats women in all stages of life. Her goal when treating her patients is to develop a partnership with them in order to help them to live their healthiest lives possible, including treating conditions such as abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, postpartum depression, menopausal hot flashes, as well as cancer and other disease prevention. She enjoys getting to know her patients in order to understand their values and motivations so she can help develop an individualized treatment plan that fits with their specific goals.
Dr. Boyer and her husband welcomed their first child in October 2016. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling to exotic locations (she has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and worked in Peru, Tanzania, and Guatemala on medical service trips), cooking, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the mountains of Colorado.
